Overexposed bio picture

Welcome to Overexposed

In July of 2006 I started a blog as a way of showcasing my images to family and friends.  I was feeling very self-conscious about blogging (and still do - it's all a bit pretentious and self-promoting, don't you think?) and named the blog Overexposed because it played off a photography term and aptly described how I was feeling at the time.

Over the years, Overexposed has evolved into an online journal of sorts ... a place where I can showcase things both silly and serious and keep in touch with clients, family and friends alike.

Thank you (so very much) for stopping by.

xoxo,

Rebecca

My Baby is FIVE!

Joshua and Michael have always seemed big.  They’ve been close in both age and ability and as our oldest monkeys they just seem big by default.  Noah, on the other hand, was our first real “baby”.  With a substantial age gap separating him from his older siblings, he’s always seemed little.  Maybe it’s the chubby...

I know.  He’s going to hate me for this when he’s older.  I’ll make sure to tell him that the big belly laugh I had today is completely worth any future feelings...

Digital Photography Never Looked So Analog

A few weeks ago, I downloaded the Hipstamatic app for my iPhone and I’ve had a ridiculous amount of fun since.  This week, I thought I would share my favorite faux-analog images with the hope that I can squeeze them in before Hipstamatic becomes too widely used to be cool anymore.
We’ll start this...

My Guys

Oh how I love my monkeys.  And since my terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad nightmare a while back I find myself enjoying them so much.  They often drive me bananas (I swear, if Joshua farts one more time in front of me I’m going to (insert various punishments here) … ) but they really are good kids, and I’m...

Questions

Did I really make him?
(Aren’t genetics crazy?)
Do I really get to laugh at him every day?
How did I get so lucky?

Dena says it’s time to find some angel wings and dress him up like a little cherub.  I think she might be right …

Then and Now

Visual comparisons are remarkable, which is why I had so much fun putting these “then and now” shots together.  Wowza!

I think the only feature that hasn’t changed in the last 14 months is Owen’s chin.  Er, I mean chins.

And now:
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Up Close and Personal

Just posted some macro shots of my baby monster, er, I mean monkey on the Darling Art blog.
He still hates me, by the way.  And yes – I did feed him a tiny bit of chocolate.  But shhhhhh … you didn’t hear me just say that.  I’ll deny everything if you ask.
Maybe he’s suddenly turned...

Four Eyes

One of my monkeys just got glasses and I think he looks very handsome.  Don’t you?

p.s. Lady D and I are headed to Nashville for a business seminar.  I can’t think of anything more fun then talking about stuff like managerial accounting, cost of goods sold, and sales fundamentals for three full days.  ...
