Overexposed bio picture

Welcome to Overexposed

In July of 2006 I started a blog as a way of showcasing my images to family and friends.  I was feeling very self-conscious about blogging (and still do - it's all a bit pretentious and self-promoting, don't you think?) and named the blog Overexposed because it played off a photography term and aptly described how I was feeling at the time.

Over the years, Overexposed has evolved into an online journal of sorts ... a place where I can showcase things both silly and serious and keep in touch with clients, family and friends alike.

Thank you (so very much) for stopping by.

xoxo,

Rebecca

Desperate Times

call for desperate measures.

A few weeks ago I was in dire need of keeping this monkey entertained for an interval longer than 15 seconds.  So, I pulled the flour bin out of the garage and let him have at it.  I’m pretty sure the time I spent cleaning up canceled out any gain in productivity,...

Questions

Did I really make him?
(Aren’t genetics crazy?)
Do I really get to laugh at him every day?
How did I get so lucky?

My Little Money Launderer

My 8 year old monkey is the king of “get rich quick” ideas.  He tries to sell rocks from the backyard for $20 each, garage sale old toys for $90 each, and once convinced a classmate to buy an old and forgotten transformer for $20 (we made him return the money).  His latest scheme?  Con...

Gorgeously Happy

A month or so ago my 4 year old nut and I were out running errands when he asked to stop at a bookstore where he had seen Legos on a previous visit.  “Please Mom,” he begged.  “If you buy me a new Lego set I’ll be gorgeously happy!”
Gorgeously happy?
Call me a pushover, but I...

Dan and I recently watched a hilarious youtube video featuring a baby dancing along to a Beyonce music video.  Well, we have a dancing baby too and although we’re maybe just a little bit biased, we think he’s pretty darn cute!
