Overexposed bio picture

Welcome to Overexposed

In July of 2006 I started a blog as a way of showcasing my images to family and friends.  I was feeling very self-conscious about blogging (and still do - it's all a bit pretentious and self-promoting, don't you think?) and named the blog Overexposed because it played off a photography term and aptly described how I was feeling at the time.

Over the years, Overexposed has evolved into an online journal of sorts ... a place where I can showcase things both silly and serious and keep in touch with clients, family and friends alike.

Thank you (so very much) for stopping by.

xoxo,

Rebecca

Home Sweet Home

I just returned from a whirlwind trip to Michigan to attend a workshop by the uber-talented Brianna Graham – who did an amazing job teaching us for 2 days.  I would have loved to stay and play longer . . . but tomorrow I have another surgery.  Yuck!  Wish me luck.

Two Already!?!

It has been two years (almost to the minute) since our littlest monkey made his debut.  Where did the time go?  And why does he keep growing up when I always beg him not too?
My oh my, what a difference two years makes . . .
Noah, 12 hours old:

A few weeks shy of 1 year...

Marathon Monday

Every Patriots Day we walk up to Coolidge Corner to buy lunch and picnic along Beacon Street while we cheer on an endless stream of people running the Boston Marathon.  People in wheelchairs and handcycles usually come by first and always get our loudest cheers.  Then the ultra-fit, crazy-fast elite runners go by.  Slowly, the...

Capturing Love

Several months ago I was contacted by Creating Keepsakes magazine and asked to contribute to an article on photographing women for the May (Mother’s Day) edition of the magazine.  I was honored to be asked and thrilled to share the story of my incredible younger sister Emily.  The magazine is out (hooray!!!) and you can...

From Across the Pond

Our wonderful, gorgeous, fun visitors flew back to Eng-ga-land (as Michael would say) and we miss them already.  Yes, they were worn out and ready to sleep in their own beds.  And yes, they have things to do (like, um, have a new baby) but we miss them already.
Come back soon, okay?

Pretty Baby

Another gorgeous newborn – aren’t I lucky?  This little one was quite the trouble maker before she was born but she’s here and she’s perfect.  The cradle was her Mom’s which I think makes a beautiful image that much more special.
I hope no one is getting tired of newborn posts because I have loads of...

BFF’s

A few years ago both Michael and India were painting side by side during their preschool class.  Out of the blue, India reached over and painted on Michael’s picture.  Michael was stunned – someone painted on his picture without permission!?!  He retaliated by reaching over and painting on India’s picture (gasp!).  The situation was tense...

Back Flips

When my friend Dena met Noah just for the first time she told me her ovaries were doing back flips which I thought was a darling phrase to describe how women feel looking at gorgeous babies.  Well, I’ve had a week of gorgeous babies and these little ones are killing me!  They’ve all been sooooo...
