Overexposed bio picture

Welcome to Overexposed

In July of 2006 I started a blog as a way of showcasing my images to family and friends.  I was feeling very self-conscious about blogging (and still do - it's all a bit pretentious and self-promoting, don't you think?) and named the blog Overexposed because it played off a photography term and aptly described how I was feeling at the time.

Over the years, Overexposed has evolved into an online journal of sorts ... a place where I can showcase things both silly and serious and keep in touch with clients, family and friends alike.

Thank you (so very much) for stopping by.

xoxo,

Rebecca

In the Thick of It

Whew!  I finally got those 5 galleries out and can now start sharing . . . and launch right into my next batch of sessions to edit.   Although, my body is starting to rebel against all this computer time – my back and my wrists have been screaming at me for the last 24 hours. ...

The First Five

Well, I’ve edited the first 5 of my Boston Sessions.  I have yet to get any of the images up in client galleries but  thought I would commemorate this not-so-momentous occasion anyway by posting a few images of 5 boys I absolutely love – the first 5 grand-kids on my side of our family.  The...

I heart Boston

Sigh . . .  the city, the weather, the photo sessions and visits with friends . . . it was all just wonderful.  I feel so lucky to have work as an excuse to go back and visit one of my favorite cities and see some of my favorite people.  But this time I was...

Just One More

I have one more Utah session to share, and it was a good one (if I do say so myself – lol!).  Gosh, I sound just like my late Grandma B. who never hesitated to announce if she liked something she created.  Never in a bad way, just in an endearing way.  Like, "Oh, this...

Cousins

So, I’m related to these two gorgeous kiddos.  They are my first cousins once removed?  Is that how it works when your first cousin has kids?  Someone help me out here . . .   Since I’m related to them, can I take at least some credit for how darling they are?  Come on,...

Off to Boston

Hooray!  Hooray!  I’m off to Boston.  Okay, so right now I’m technically off to bed.  But I’m off to Boston in the morning.  If I ever get packed.
I’m all set to post more Utah sessions (and even another NC session – wahoo!) while I’m away and when I return I’ll have loads more to share.
Oooh,...

Three Lovely Ladies

So, do you think if I had a family of all girls I’d be sitting here pining away for a little boy?  Hmmm . . . maybe that’s one of those questions that should go unanswered – lol!  But really, photographing this family of three girls has me thinking – how would my life be...

He’s Such a Nut

Noah and I were out yesterday running errands.  For a long time.  Our last stop was the Verizon store at which point we were both tired and hungry.  Thank heavens the store was mostly empty and I let Noah have the run of the place.
Well, it wasn’t long before a customer came in and Noah...

These Two Remain

I featured gorgeous Miss E. in my last post and now it’s time to show off her beautiful siblings.  Gosh, I just love this session.  And as Stephanie mentioned, our session did indeed start off with a gourmet breakfast of homemade waffles and a fresh fruit salad which could be the reason why her gallery...
