Overexposed bio picture

Welcome to Overexposed

In July of 2006 I started a blog as a way of showcasing my images to family and friends.  I was feeling very self-conscious about blogging (and still do - it's all a bit pretentious and self-promoting, don't you think?) and named the blog Overexposed because it played off a photography term and aptly described how I was feeling at the time.

Over the years, Overexposed has evolved into an online journal of sorts ... a place where I can showcase things both silly and serious and keep in touch with clients, family and friends alike.

Thank you (so very much) for stopping by.

xoxo,

Rebecca

Guess What?

I launched a new business blog here.  I haven’t filled it out much yet (okay, not really at all) but I think it looks so pretty that I thought I’d share!
My old biz blog was a bit really boring and I’m hoping to pay a bit more attention to the new one . . ....

Thank you!

Thank you so much to everyone who weighed in on the portfolio images.  After reading your comments I realized I couldn’t go wrong with either one, so I played eeny, meeny, meiney, mo (not that that’s how you spell any of those words, but you all know what I’m talking about, right?) and ended up...

Angels turned Devils

We’re back and we had a glorious time.  And although we prefer vacation destinations that are a little more . . . er . . . subtle than Orlando, the kids had a great time and so did we.
We did, however, encounter one unexpected problem:  two darling, normally good-natured toddlers that somehow could not get...

Hey Monkeys!

Quick!  Get in the car.
Why?
Cause we’re going to Disney World!!!

*For the sake of full disclosure . . . when we initially told them we were going to Disney World they didn’t react at all – the three of them just stared at us completely dumbstruck until Joshua finally said, "Why?"
Sigh.
So we told them we...

The Quiet Months

January and February are quiet months.  In Boston the weather was so cold and so nasty that I wouldn’t have taken on many sessions no matter how badly I wanted to.  You just sort of hunker down and hold your breath and hope you survive the post-holidays-there’s-still-4-months-of-winter-left blues.
In North Carolina though . . ....

A Milestone

Time to Say Goodbye

We pack up and head back to NC tomorrow . . . well, that is if Noah will get on the airplane.  He’s insisting we travel via helicopter instead!
As usual, I’ll need a few days to get settled before I post again.  In the mean time, read (or re-read) this entry from the archives...

From Yesterday . . .

"Take your camera off Mommy.  TAKE IT OFF!!!"
Ahhh . . . the photographer’s child.  Poor guy.

Un-Resolved

I’m the type who rolls my eyes at New Years resolutions.  Why?  Well, I’m contrary for one.  But also because I’m a year-round goal setter and I think annual just-cause-it’s-new-years resolutions usually don’t get anyone anywhere.
To distract myself from joining in on the mass goal-setting mania, I’m going to be eating the most AMAZING...
