Overexposed bio picture

Welcome to Overexposed

In July of 2006 I started a blog as a way of showcasing my images to family and friends.  I was feeling very self-conscious about blogging (and still do - it's all a bit pretentious and self-promoting, don't you think?) and named the blog Overexposed because it played off a photography term and aptly described how I was feeling at the time.

Over the years, Overexposed has evolved into an online journal of sorts ... a place where I can showcase things both silly and serious and keep in touch with clients, family and friends alike.

Thank you (so very much) for stopping by.

xoxo,

Rebecca

Change

It’s inevitable, right?  So instead of fighting it … I’m going to (try to) embrace it.
In an effort to "embrace" change … I’ll be posting only on {Hello, Darling!} for the next little while … and maybe forever – who knows!    Overexposed will be around for a bit longer while I figure out where...

Hello, Darling!

I’ve been posting on the Darling Art blog … trying to fill it out a bit, I guess.  I’ll admit, I’m feeling a bit lonely over there so if you feel so inclined, please stop by and say hello .  Maybe it can qualify as your good deed for the day?
Thanks a million!
Reb
P.S.  I haven’t...

Doomed

It’s Cadbury Mini-Egg season.  I’m toast.
I wonder if I should do a weigh in this year … just so I know exactly how much damage I’ve done.
Heaven help me!

Sweets for my Sweets

Every Valentine’s Day I make home made cinnamon rolls (mmm . . . yummy!).  Can you guess which monkey was especially excited about his V-day treat?

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Philadelphia

I’ve been struggling to summarize my experience at the "life (as an artform) " workshop in Philly . . .  I don’t even know how to explain it to my husband, who has patiently listened to me try since I returned home on Friday.  It was intense, overwhelming, informative, even spiritual . . . but mostly...

To Make Her Smile

This time of year is difficult for my family – it brings memories of a cold, bitter night three years ago when we experienced a tragic loss, and then a second unexpected loss just a few days later.  The burden of grief is especially hard for my sister, who is 50 years too young to...

Here Goes Nothing

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!  for your feedback re: the duel blogs.  I like Overexposed, and I feel like a biz blog needs to be a bit more "business-like" than we keep things over here, so for now I’m going to keep them separate.  I have a whole formula worked out in my head...
