4 years ago Dan and I bundled up our 2 monkeys and walked to the fire station to vote. Upon arrival the monkeys looked around in confusion and said, "Where's the boat? We want to go boating!" We tried to explain the difference, but they could not distinguish between the words vote and boat. To...

For Your Viewing Pleasure
I thought this outtake from my recent boutique mini sessions was hilarious. I have no idea what I said or did to deserve this look, or what possessed me to click the shutter right at this moment. All I know is that I crack up every time I look at it, which is why I'm...
New York, New York
Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement and for being able to commiserate. Motherhood can be so hard! You have no idea how wonderful it is to read your comments/thoughts. One of these days I'm going to be on top of things again and respond to your comments … I love it...

Something Wicked
I had the happiest realization today: it's October. My favorite month. And after an insanely busy day that started at 4 am this morning, I was thrilled to discover that today is October 1st. I find the changing seasons very invigorating, and there is something especially wonderful about the leaves changing color and the crisp...
