The boys and I planned to head to Chapel Hill this morning for a quick trip to visit friends and photograph a few darlings. I’ll admit I was feeling a bit travel weary having just come home from Spring break, but I had said I would come and so gosh darn it – we were coming! Arrangements were made, bags packed, and car loaded. And then, in the wee hours this morning, little Owen – who had been coughing and sniffling yesterday – woke up crying and announced he was sick. And sick he was. He “nuggled” and moaned for a few hours before drifting off to sleep at which point I tiptoed off to send a bunch of emails that all said, “Just kidding! No trip after all!” and undo, unload and unpack. It’s all been terribly depressing.
Thankfully, I found these images while going through old files for a project and they made me laugh until I cried. Oh man, the wonders of Photoshop! The monkeys and I had so much fun creating these a year or so ago (Make my nose big! Now give me an extra set of arms!) and I’m glad I rediscovered them – there is something magical that happens when you laugh so hard your tummy hurts and your eyes well up with tears. It was just what I needed.
xo,

p.s. I miss Owen’s curls! I hope they come back with the humidity this summer … I hope I hope I hope.

dena robles - that last one of Owen is really freaking me out!! Cam says “I hope they don’t look like that when we go to their house, I might have nightmares”March 30, 2012 – 3:07 PM
Christina - Love the eyes. Aliens should be so cute as the biggest and the littlest. Noah is destined for India where he will be revered. Michael, well, I wouldn’t want to arm wrestle him. Though I must admit, the last picture makes it look like he lost a match.March 30, 2012 – 5:07 PM
Amy - Hilarious pictures. Still so bummed we didn’t get to see you, but glad you got to rest and have a good laugh!March 31, 2012 – 12:47 PM
